  • Sanford School of Medicine – USD - The Sanford School of Medicine – USD maintains several research grants involving the study of FAS and FASD. The school collaborates and houses the Center for Disabilities and continues publication on FAS and FASD.

  • Article: Medications for Children and Adults with FASD - Gathered from medical experts who have successfully treated children and adults with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), which summarizes medication use and includes several useful sites to find medication and risk, brain affect and behavioral information.   • Asante Center Resources - This is an excellent site where printable material is available on current FASD literature, book and video suggestions and useable diagnostic and intervention materials.
  • CDC's FASD Online Source - The Center for Disease Control and Prevention is a fore-runner in FASD and provides data and statistics, research, diagnosis, treatment and access to many free materials.
  • FAS Alaska - FAS Alaska, (Fetal Alcohol Consultation and Training Services), provides a focus on intervention techniques for educators. It includes: Frequently Asked Questions, Common Misinterpretations and Successful Intervention sections as well as numerous other helpful links and resources.
  • FAS Community Resource Center - The FAS Community Resource Center, headquarters in Tucson, Arizona provides updated information on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) including prevalence of the problem, diagnosis and treatment strategies. This site includes interactive quizzes and relevant service provider material.
  • FASD Center for Excellence - The US Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration launched their FASD Center for Excellence in 2001. Their website provides many resources including a searchable, online FASD Resource Database.
  • National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism - A multitude of informational publications for both the patient and caregiver can be ordered. Guidelines for care, identification and intervention strategies are examples and available. From the home page, click on “Publications”
  • National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome - The National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome provides an excellent wealth of information and resources including a National and State Directory and a Healthcare Professionals tab.
  • NOFAS Healthcare - Professional material and resources can be ordered and include guidelines, posters, patient education materials, brain models and videos. In addition, click on “Resources – Support” found under More Information section, to access web casts, online classes and other publications.
